SMS Markaz FAQ

Selecting SMS Forwarding allows you to enter a mobile number where all received messages will be forwarded. You do not need be logged in to SMS Markaz for the messages to be forwarded. A copy of received messages will still be available in your Inbox.

The forwarded SMS will contain the original mobile number of the sender, means the message you will receive will have the number of the person who tried to send you the SMS. If you reply back to that message that will be sent directly to the original sender!

Example:
Sajid is living in London, he has setup SMS forwarding on Huma's mobile number. Whenever Huma will send a message to Sajid on SMS Markaz's dedicated numbers the system will forward the SMS to Sajid's registered mobile number. Sajid will get the SMS in 5 seconds, Sajid will get the message from Huma's number. So when Sajid will reply back to the message that will be delivered on Huma's number instantly.

Cost:
Standard International SMS rates will be applicable on all forwarded SMS. (Click here to view the rates) The amount will be deducted from your online SMS. The sender (in Pakistan) will be paying no extra charges, they will be paying local SMS charges as per their package plan.

To Enable SMS forwarding to a new contact

1. Open your phone book

2. Click on Add contact link

3. Add the name, and number of the contact

4. In "Block this number" option select "NO"

5. In "Forward to my number" select "YES"

6. Select the number where you want to forward the SMS message, you can add three numbers in your profile for SMS forwarding and Branded outgoing messages, to add or remove a number click on "My Numbers" link under My Account menu.

7. Click on Add contact button to save your settings

To Enable SMS forwarding to an existing contact

1. Open your phone book

2. Click on Edit link next to the contact name

3. In "Forward to my number" select "YES"

4. Select the number where you want to forward the SMS message, you can add three numbers in your profile for SMS forwarding and Branded outgoing messages, to add or remove a number click on "My Numbers" link under My Account menu.

5. Click on Modify button to save your settings
